Peptide vendor testing report, Q4 2026

What PepAssure’s evidence index holds as of Oct 28, 2026: how many vendors have been independently tested, how results are distributed, and who is under enforcement. Every figure is computed from the same rows that drive vendor scores; evidence classes are kept apart because they measure different things. Updated daily through the quarter.

1. Coverage: who has been tested

PepAssure tracks 691 vendors. 454 carry a published score and 237 show “Not yet scored” because no independent lab result is on file for them — the site does not rate a vendor without evidence (why). 492 vendors have at least one blind-buy result; a further 17 have only vendor-submitted certificates, which score at half weight and are capped at 85.

Dates are the lab’s test date where published, else the date PepAssure indexed the result. Janoshik results arrive by manual import and partnership, so their month reflects import timing.

2. What the results say — by evidence class

Finnrick publishes a composite 0–100 rating per blind-bought vendor-and-product page, not a purity percentage, so its results are shown as rating bands. Janoshik and the recognized labs publish purity, so theirs are shown as distributions — separately, because a certificate the vendor chose to submit is not the same evidence as a blind buy.

Read the gap, not the averages: vendor-chosen certificates will always look better than blind buys, because a vendor does not submit a failed batch. That is why they count for half and are capped.

3. Where the evidence comes from

A lab is recognized only if it runs a public certificate lookup: testing labs.

4. Enforcement and closures

13 vendors are on PepAssure’s Enforcement & Shutdown Watch with a government record or a reported closure; 6 of those with a regulatory record were still trading when last checked. The full list, with sources and check dates, is on the watch page and in its CSV. The record for 2024–2026 is written out in this round-up.

Data and method

  • Source rows: every lab result or certificate in PepAssure’s index matched to a vendor at ≥0.7 confidence, with admin corrections applied — the same set that computes vendor scores. 3,044 rows as of Oct 28, 2026.
  • Independent = Finnrick or Janoshik (blind buy). Vendor-submitted = certificates uploaded by vendors or read from a lab’s or catalogue’s index; only recognized labs enter the purity table. Vendor-published = PDFs from the vendor’s own site; never scored.
  • Percentiles are linear-interpolated; threshold shares are the fraction of rows with a purity figure below the line.
  • Prices are not in this report: PepAssure’s price index is being rebuilt and a stale number is worse than none.
  • Recomputed daily; the next quarter’s report starts on Jan 1, 2027.
